    Hi,
I am planning to buy a new car soon - may be by Dussera. I have seen many from i10, maruti, tata. My budget in 4.5 to 5 lacs. I have never owned a car before. So I want to be very cautious. I like Ritz. but the rear look is killing my enthu. I feel disappounted to see the rear of the car. How is the feedback of this car based on users feedback ?

  2. Vikas Says:

I am also planning to buy the same car, but the look is not so good. The only strong point is the new K series engine .
    Waiting for some response

  3. admin Says:

K-Series Engines are the latest variant from the Maruti. They says these engines will definitely increase the mileage of any car.

  4. PP Singh Says:

I have only minutely observed it and found the rear very impressive contrary to what many onlookers remar.. In white color it looks like Armored Personnel Carrier of UN Peace Keeping Force. The star ratings given by me may be viewed keeping in view the fact that I have not yet test driven it myself and have been confused whether to buy Zxi or Vdi. But my wife who is excellent driver of car in city has very fondly finalised it after making TD of three cars: Spark, Estillo and this. Can Maruti or anybody tell me why they have not provided in Ritz Zxi the auto-climate AC as is the feature of Swift Zxi. Besides, I must suggest Maruti-Suzuki to upgrade the CD player to one having USB stick port. USB stick is the most populare and convenient means of carrying one’s music along. I am not buying the Ritz Zxi only becuase I am witing for these two missing items most useful and meaningful to me. I shall also suggest Maruti to shift fuel filler from LEFT to driver side as in Vitara. This helps the driver to supervise the filling and talk to filler boy. Besides, it also saves the rear bumper from scratches of the filling hose. I find Autopace in Chanidgarh the best dealer for sale and after sale service, who has offered me to test drive it for 100 kms and then top up the fuel tank to verify the mileage myself.

Good suggestions. I hope Maruti Suzuki is listening :-)

I am planning to buy a hatch-back, either Swift, Punto or Ritz. I have read very good reviews of Ritz and am thinking of buying the Petrol version. Some people have suggested buying the Diesel as that is very peppy and fast. I seek advise from current Ritz owners.

I am sure you will get answers my friend. It would have been better if you have provided your e-mail id.

    Hi

I am planning to buy a Ritz. Just had a test drive today, and the car is lovely. Pick up is effortless, and one cannot make out even when at speeds of 80 kmph. Suspension is a little hard, but comfortable. Gives a feel of being one with the vehicle. I stand at 5′10″, and when i sat in the car, there was ample room to move my hands over my head. Seating is beautiful, as you just sit in at the height that u walk in. Especially good for older folks who find a low chair uncomfortable. The cutest point being the tachometer .. damn neat. Am planning to get one in the next 2-3 week, as soon as I can get one delivered. There is more space than an A-star in the boot as well.
Overall, a lovely car, perfect for drives with ur partner.

    Rohit

  11. admin Says:

After a grand success, Maruti Suzuki should sincerely consider increasing production rate of this great new car.
Dr. Jayakrishnan, I hope you will get your dream car very soon. :-)

  12. Nilesh Chogle Says:

I have a 2000 version Santro LE, and had spent a large amount on maintainence, since it outlived, my expectations. I have booked the Maruti Ritz VXi, after my first Test drive today.I found the car superb for the pricing, engine, comfort and Stylish interiors, with a tacometer.I am not sure of the mileage, I will get !! My gess is with the K-series engine, even the Petrol version should give a mileage of 15-16 on our present Citi road conditions.

May I know, whether the mileage would be that much ? However, I expect the mileage on Highways of > 21 ???…May be I am wrong, Please advise. I was not interested on the Diesel version, because the price difference is heafty, and my usage is less.
    Thanks,

  13. admin Says:

    Hi Nilesh,

As per my information, the mileage is good. See, it depends upon the driving conditions and of course upon the driver. So, it may change from person to person.

Personally, I also don’t prefer any diesel variant of a car. Besides, they require more maintenance cost. You are right about your decision.

  14. unnikrishnan namboothiri oachira Says:

Iam happy with my Ritz (Vxi). A good performer.I got a milage of about 19 km/litre.

  15. admin Says:

    Hey Unnikrishnan,

That’s great. You are getting more mileage than Maruti claims for its Vxi model. Good.

  16. Nilesh Chogle Says:

    Dear Mr. Unnikrishnan,

Is the mileage in City Road Conditions that is 19kmpl or on High Ways only ?? Please can you clarify…
Then What’s the mileage on Highways roads, for VXi Petrol, have you tried that. Please apprise ?? Thanks so much

    Regards,

    Nilesh CHOGLE

  17. Nilesh Chogle Says:

    Dear Mr. Unnikrishnan,

I understand that Maruti Ritz VXi is claiming the milleage on a speed of 60kmph.., where as we may be travelling at 100kmph !!??

    Please give your honest feedback…

I am getting my delivery this week …

    Thanks so much..

    Nilesh

  21. unnikrishnan namboothiri oachira Says:

Last week I went to Munnar ,a hill resort in Kerala,200 Km away from my home town Oachira. I traveled a total distance of about 493 kms in that trip. The entire way except a stretch of 130 Kms high way was gutter roads having zig zag turnings (as that way was part of high mountain roads). I completed the journey with 27 liters of petrol. That is I got more than 20 Kms/litre for My high way journey. Even at steeper roads the performance of Rits (Vxi)was very very good. But I feel its right A pillar prevents view at right turnings.

  22. admin Says:

Thanks Unni, for sharing your first hand experience. I think this will leave a positive impression upon the performance of Maruti Ritz.

  23. Unnikrishnan Nambuthiri Oachira Says:

Today I have test driven Cheverle BEAT LT. Surely BEAT is not a competitor to RITZ . RITZ is superior to BEAT in all means. Height,Weight, Length , width, weight, Interior space. Driving comfort and mileage.RITZ can only be equated to FIAT PUNTO and HUNDAI i-20.

  24. Avilash Says:

Hi i won and ritz zxi abs.i bought it just 7days ago.i am getting 16kmpl in city.i was thinking of chevy beat lt and ford figo tdi but after tdi but taking td i found ritz far better. Chevy beat looks awesome.but in my openion i think rear of ritz looks dif from other its quite new and aerodynamik.and the usb prob.i inserted a roof lcd touch pannel with usb port and blutooth its name is sony b551ko(only 10,000 cheaper than a sound sys)

  25. Ramakrishnan Says:

I am using Maruti Ritz for the past 7 months. Its an amazing car. I am happy to see an exclusive forum for Maruti Ritz. I like to share my experience with Ritz. She is a beauty on wheels. She got great looks, I like the bommerang shaped tail lamp. The interiors are refreshing. The engine is super smooth and giving me a consistent mileage of 17 kmpl on average. Our whole family love Ritz. Thanks to Maruti for Ritz :)

  26. Ajit Says:

    Hi

i purchased Ritz Vxi in Feb 10. its a spacious and tall car compared to Alto which i had previously. its good driving a ritz, but has a problem at turns , as the C frame blocks the view on turns. Also i’am used to driving at a steady speed, without too much unnecessary throttling, and get around 15kmpl\l milage in city. with alto lxi i used to get 18.5 in city.

    Hi
I have bought Ritz ZXi.I stay in Hyderabad. It costed Rs 5.86 lakhs on road.I have got 24,000 discount on it.So effectively I paid Rs 5,62,000/-.The only thing that I didn’t like is the CD player which has no USB option. It is a Nippon CD player with 4 channel output ( 4 X 45 W ).It has no Sub out.So I have changed it.For that you need a square panel with curved top( which is there in LXi,VXi models ).I have ordered it in Maruti Spare parts dealer ( R.M. motors in Minister road,Hyderabad ).If you are planning to put a single din CD player, you also need a dummy CD panel. They are easily available. R.M. motors have taken just 5 days to get them.It costs around Rs 200.CD holder ( the Iron casing which holds the unit is not necessary. The one which is holding the existing Nippon CD player is sufficient. And one more thing I have come to know is the window glasses donot close automatically if you lock it with remote, which is pretty bad.You have to buy a unit for that for Rs 2300.I have put the following accessories 1. Sony WX-GT77UI ( DOUBLEDIN CD player ) RMS 52 W X 4 - Rs 10,800 2.Sony XM - GTX6042 ( 1000W 4 channel amp ) RMS 60W X 4 - Rs 5300 3. Sony XS-GTX1202L ( 1000W Sub ) RMS 300W -Rs 2500 4. JBL GTO608C ( 210W component speakers in the front doors) RMS 70W X 2 - Rs 5900
    5.JBL GT5 - S265 ( 200W speakers in the rear doors ) RMS 50W X 2 - Rs 2900. 6. Bass EFX wooferbox Rs 1050. 7. Wiring Rs 1000. 8. Seat covers Rs 5500. 9. Foot mats Rs 950. 10. Full matting Rs 900. 11. Steering cover Rs 300. 12. Side beading,Bumper guard,Mud flaps,Reverse horn - Rs 2250. 13. Teflon coat Rs 3100. 14. Automatic window glass closing - Rs 2300. 15. Film - Rs 3000.
    I hope this information helps.
